An antique Spanish military sword. Marked on ricasso "Artilleria Fca National Toledo" and a serial number 28963. The blade length is 35 ½ inches. Total length is 42 inches. The front of the guard is engraved with a crest showing crossed swords and flags. Excellent condition. I doubt the sword was ever issued. Blade has a few small stains near the tip. No pitting or damage. The guard and scabbard retain 95% original blued steel finish. Scabbard has no dents or damage. Blade slides freely in and out but it must be started in just the right angle or it catches on the interior liner and won't go all the way in. A beautifull old sword. I can find no reference material on Spanish swords so I do not know what era it is from. I guess sometime between the Spanish-American war and the Spanish civil war. $15.00 for USPS insured shipping to U.S. addresses. International shipping higher. Money orders please. No paypal. Check my other auctions. I never use reserves.
