Banner reads "Carlos Marx, Batallon Centuria Thaelmann No 31" Car registeation B 65575Although a little dark the image is of high quality and, as the example shows, can be enlarged with no loss of qualtity. The Thälmann Battalion was a battalion of the International Brigades named after the imprisoned German communist leader Ernst Thälmann.
