Sister Maria Teresa's new collection of paintings have just arrived in Miami, along with a picture of her and her three new art students(please see the picture below). For those of you not familiar with her work , she is a cloistered Carmelite nun from Cuzco , Peru whose work we represent in the USA . All the winning bids from her auctions go back to help support her convent and 21 Sisters. Mom provides all the art supplies she uses and I bring her work from Cuzco four times a year.

You are bidding on an original oil painting on canvas, painted by Sister last month. She uses an antiquing process on her paintings to make them appear like the very paintings hanging inside her convent walls.

The Immaculate Conception has a canvas size of 15 inches by 11.5 inches and you need to provide the frame and wood stretcher for the canvas. These paintings should ideally be mounted on a gold colored frame, to bring out the gold leaf details used by Sister Teresa in her paintings. Please note that each painting is an original and done between her daily prayers and communal work. She can only devote a limited amount of time to painting, so these are not like many mass produced paintings, that lack the love and attention to detail that Sister Teresa gives each one of her paintings.

Sister will provide a picture of herself with each painting, but she does not like to sign them as she wants no fame or notoriety, but only wants to help spread Gods word and help her convent through her paintings.
