This auction is for a set of vintage, hand-carved, wooden, Spanish figures. These figures may look to be something they are not. /photos/38933660@N05/4471703508/ The website listed above explains their origin and background. I purchased these figures along with other Spanish hand-carved figures from a woman that traveled all over the world. The website explains tthat these are Spanish, Easter celebration figures named the Nazareno. They are Penitent figures that accompany other religious during Palm Sunday observances. The figures stand approximately 12" tall. The staff is removable. The figures are all slightly different: some are left and right handed and they have different belts. There are no markings indicating a date or manufacturer. These are unique looking, hand carved figures, direct from Spain. A fine addition to any art collection. !!
