Old Spanish Spain 1776 US Revolution 2 Maravedi Coin NR This is a genuine, Spanish 2 maravedi copper coin minted in 1776. The coin shows heavy circulation with the bust of Charles III in outline only. Rim lettering is weak, but date is good. Reverse detail is worn,but the basic outline is visible. Overall, I would rate this coin as a Good, but will leave the final judgement up to you. Just think. When this coin was minted, the thirteen american colonies had just declared their independence from England. The American revolution was raging with an uncertain outcome. There is a lot of history associatedwith this coin. This is your chance to own a piece of the American revolutionary time. These coins circulated throught the colonies.
