Auction is for 1 pin, as shown in 1st photo.Very rare 'SPARS' gold tone & blue enamel pin. No clue on the age or origin.A few of these were found inside a box for vintage sunglasses and part of a larger Militaria Collection.They were all mounted or pinned on a blue card backing.I see nothing similar in researching online.Could have been an after market souvenir item. ... ?..Anyone who has info on these it would be appreciated!From Wikipedia.....Like the other women's reserves, such as the Women's Army Corps and the WAVES, SPARS was created to free men from stateside service in order to fight overseas.[2]In 1941 the first civilian women were hired by the Coast Guard to serve in secretarial and clerical positions.
