I have waited long enough since Pop passed, feeling the wonderful aura that exists, as I know how much he loved this Shirley Temple Radio. Now I am giving the United States a chance to hear it come to life. First, I must confess, I had to put a reserve on this auction and that is something I have never done but Dear Old Dad would rise-up to spank me if I did not. Currently, there is one Sparton Bluebird listed on eBay for around $2600 or make an offer. My reserve is much less than that. For a bid of 99 cents, like all my auctions, you can find out if you have what it takes to own the very best. This radio was unveiled at the National Electrical & Radio Exposition in New York's Grand Central Palace in 1935. The radio was styled by noted designer Walter Dorwin Teague and it was in a league of it's own. Recognized today as a true masterpiece of 1930's art. You have a chance to own the Holy Grail of radio! Sold for $39.95 new. It has a Broadcast Band and AM Band. The gorgeous dial lights-up and it brings in stations, like Dr. Frankenstein did one stormy night. I will throw in the Shirley Temple Picture and a Calendar with a month dedicated to Sparton. 5 huge tubes come to life and one of them is bigger that the other fab four. I will pack like never before and double box. I am charging fifty bucks for that feat. Ask questions and I will read more
