An original Vietnamese manufactured Bush or "COWBOY" style hat mainly used in the Vietnam conflict in the 1960s. This example is the single snap brim version with the correct large four vent holes and multi-stitching camouflaged design. The hat also has an intact cord chin tie. Hat has a brown plastic sweat band and a makers label to: LUONG PHAN, 64, HAI TRUNG, SAIGON. Hat is marked a size metric 57 which is approx a 7 to 7 1/4. The owners name is inked on the inside to Stephen Ratto. I have not investigated this name versus any Special Forces/Advisors list, but was told the owner was on active service in Vietnam in the 1960s. T is one small stain on the top, but otherwise this hat is in excellent condition with great colour retention and no material damage. If you need more info please email. Good luck with the bidding.
