Flowers in the Frost I fell in love with this sweet little footed sugar bowl what with all the tiny, delicate flowers etched all over, and knew it would make a perfect top for a chime! There are a total of 17 lines of glass and 75 glass pieces in this chime, and it measures about 25” long (this includes 3” for the silver plated chain and loop hanger) and about 7” wide at its widest point. I used a lovely combination of clear textured glass…crystal ice, clear flowers, clear hammered…and paired it with some frosted ripple glass. A beautiful assortment of glass beads were used…large and small glass flowers, glass leaves, clear crackles, clear rounds, frosted rounds, sweet little clear hearts, clear round faceted beads and large and small Swarovski bicones. Sprinkled throughout are some sparkling crystal octagons for that added pizzazz! The wind sail at the very bottom is a 2” diamond shaped 32% lead crystal prism surrounded by four 1-½” matching prisms. I cut, grind, shape and drill holes in the glass and tie it together with the beads using Beadalon stainless steel jewelry wire and silver plated crimp beads. My name and date are etched in one of the pieces of glass in the center line. All of my chimes are OOAK (one of a kind) and this is the only one in the world like it! I truly have a passion for creating these dazzling beauties read more
