Chinese Qing Dynasty Wedding Robe You are bidding on a magnificent Chinese Qing Dynasty embroidered robe. The black colored silk robe has colorful peonies and butterflies embroidered throughout. It was probably made for a woman of high ranking within the Manchu c ourt. The extraordinary robe opens up in the front, typical of is Han-style. It has large flowing sleeves and deep side vents. The embroideries are all intact and is in very good, wearable condition. Judging from the style of this marvelous robe, it was probably made around mid 19thC., possibly earlier. Antique robes that are in very good condition are truly a rare find. The robe was obviously well-cared for, and wrapped within acid-free paper. The robe was acquired many years ago by my grandmother. This is a museum-quality robe. My great grandmother has a large collection of Chinese textiles, which include over 50 Chinese robes, all well-kept and in wonderful condition. Please email me if you have additional questions or concerns. I will be listing a select 25 pieces on ebay in the coming days and weeks. Additional photos are provided upon request. No reserve. International bidding must be approved first in order to bid/buy. International shipping is $100. I have many wonderful antiques and fine jewelry up for auction at this time. Please view our "other seller's items" link for details. These rare finds are priced well-below retail value. Don't miss out! The measurement is 29" from armpit to armpit.
