Spectacular Antique Compo MARILU doll, Argentina. T.L.C I am very pleased to offer a beautiful antique doll, made ca. 1930/40. Made of composition, has brown glass eyes with eyelashes, painted mouth with 4 small teeth and tongue. The body is of composition and wood, is articulated, a ball jointed body. She has written in several places in the body the number "8580." She is unmarked but I am sure is a doll "Marilu" Argentina, because I have had other and are similar. The dress and lingerie are original: white silk panties with lace, white silk slip with lace, chiffon white dress with lace, white crochet shoes. It has several details to repair: The most important defect is in the legs: - One leg is broken: the wood ball is lost and the part of the calf came out, is flattened, and has some missing materials. - The other leg has the ball joint stuck in and also lack some material in the union. Also the paint is crackled or missing in several places, especially in the head. The head has no crack, but the paint is cracked. It lacks the wig. The dress has some small holes or stains and require any sewing. Very delicate doll, high quality and original for the period. In spite of the defects, that I think can be repair, for the specialists is a great MARILU doll. Measures: 13.77” (35 cm) high x 4.72” (12 cm) wide. Please see the pictures read more
