You are bidding on a BRONZE SPELTER COLLECTION FRANCAISE JEWELRY BOX . This piece is a 20th Century Sculpture from 19th century moulds.The Collection Francaise pieces carry original foundry markings and signatures from the 19th century mould ID medallions affixed to the base.,as seen in the picture. This is documented in Vol III and Vol IV of the Encyclopedia of Bronzes,Sculptor Founders 1800-1930,ABAGE/Publishers.This is a Statue of what looks to be a soldier sitting on a trunk. The trunk is very detailed with handles and straps,and a lock. This statue has impeccable craftsmanship.His hat has a skull and cross-bones on the front.
