SPIDER-MAN #1 GREEN UPC COVER CGC 9.6 This auction is for the Direct Edition Green Cover (1st Printing) Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.6 NEAR MINT+ with White Pages. The case is in brand new mint condition. This book is from the 1990 series that highlighted Todd McFarlane's amazing artistic run. McFarlane ranks as one of the best artists ever to draw Spider-Man and this #1 issue is one of the best selling comic books of all time. All Spider-Man #1's have proven to be highly sought after by collectors. This copy is Near perfect copy with no creases or tears, no stress marks on the spine, clean, flat and glossy with white pages. CGC gave this book the highly sought after grade of 9.6 which is not easy to obtain as you may know if you have tried submitting books yourself. I have not been able to see any difference between my copies that got 9.8 and 9.6. Take a look at the scan for more details. This book has never been circulated. Most books you buy from other sellers have wear from handling. It is hard to believe that this book is now 13 years old. This book looks super bright brand new. This book has been meticulously handled and stored. Note that my copies have the rarer UPC newstand variant compared to the common Spider-Man logo in the lower left box. Believe me this book is easily a 9.8, it just depends on how luckly you get with CGC. The cost of CGC is expensive, $25 easily ($19 for grading plus $6 shipping and insurance both ways). I have been a Spider-Man for 25 years and I was not disappointed. I loved it. By the way, this Spider-Man #1 features the Lizard who McFarlane loved to draw and is rumored to be one of the villians in the Spider-Man 3 or 4 Movie.
