Good SPIERS, AYR 17 1/2" long dovetailed steel panel plane. This is the more unusual design cast gunmetal lever cap with dark rosewood infill including enclosed rear handle. Near full length thick parallel iron by James Howarth and lever cap by Alex Mathieson & Co. Well used but still OK condition other than a slightly damaged handle (see photo) Plane is free from any damage and except for discoloration free from any pitting. Not a very common size. Insurance & signature confirmation required. I will be happy to supply any other photos you may want.
