For auction we have this superb Eight Day Westminster Chime Longcase Clock. The clock is housed in a solid oak case with a glazed door. The hood has a carved fan as a crest and the base with a carved locked door, set in a recess. The four cabriole feet are also carved. The brass arched dial clock with Westminster chimes on the quarters, also strikes the hours on rod gongs. It is of eight day duration and driven by three brass weights on chains. The arched brass dial has silvered chapter ring with applied brass spandrels and a silvered Tempus Fugit cartouche also surmounted by two smaller brass spandrels. The fancy hands are of blued steel. This impressive clock stands 2m 21cms high, has a width of 46cms at its widest point on the base, and a depth of 27cms.Please note: This clock comes with a 12 month guarantee.
