The Abenaki Native American tribe from Northeastern United States (Maine area) are well known for their unique splint ash basketry. The Masta family from the Abenaki tribe have become known as master basket makers, even having a particular style named after them.
This particular basekt is especially appealing with it's unique design. It is signed by "Danny Masta" 1989. No other history is known about the basket.
This basket comes from a private collection from within a smoke free home and is in great condition.
The $6.00 shipping fee is for shipping with the continental United States. Shipping outside of the U.S. will be charged according to U.S. postal service rates. If you live outside of the U.S. and win the auction, I will contact you with the shipping cost.
