This is a Milk or Juice Pitcher or Jug in the Wicker Dale Pattern on the Chelsea Wicker Shape, produced between 1954 and 1975 by Copeland Spode in the Staffordshire Potteries area of England. The charm of this pattern lies in the freedom and simplicity of the design. The subdued tones of the colors bring visions of an English village road with flowering vines twining among the hedge-rows. This coloring accentuates the fluting and delicate basketweave embossing of the Chelsea Wicker shape with its interesting highlights. It stands 6-7/8" tall and holds 40 ounces of liquid when filled to the top. Excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or discolorations. The colors are bright and the glazed finish is nice and shiny. From 1991 to 1999, I sold antiques and collectibles in many large east coast Antique Shows and two Antique Mall Booths in Virginia and Maryland. After returning home to the Pacific Northwest in 1999, I operated a booth and showcase in the Star Antique Mall in Snohomish, Washington for four years before deciding to sell online full time. I have been selling on eBay since 2002 and guarantee the descriptions and quality of my items. All are well packed & padded in new boxes or new bubble envelopes with Tracking and Insurance included. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you read more
