Four original pictures 1937-1950 Kiltie Drum & Bugle Corps The first All-Female Drum and Bugle Corps in the United States of America. The Central High School Kilties' Drum and Bugle Corps were first established in 1926 by Robert Ritchie Robertson in Springfield, Missouri. First known as Ritchie's Scotch Lassies, they became the Kilties after Robertson died and his son James took over. Since then, the Kilties have performed all over the United States of America and even in London. They have marched before Presidents and Royalty. Over eighty years later, they remain a tradition that will continue on. Description:You are bidding on rare and vintage photographs of the SPRINGFIELD Missouri High School KILTIE Drum and Bugle Corps. The first B&W phot meaures approx. 22x10 inches.....It is taken in a park (most likely Doling Park) in SPRINGFIELD MO. and shows the KILTIES in their marching outfits as well as all the supporters and alumni concerned with this popular local drum and bugle corps during the summer of 1937. The second large photo is from the 25th Kiltie Reunion in August of 1950 and shows the Kilties, Alumni and other supporters and family. The last two pictures are of unknown Kilties. One is at the Summer Picnic in either 1937 or 1939 and the other one is undated. All photos are believed to be originals. TRUE piece of Springfield and Missouri history that has been in existance since 1926. **Panoramic pictures shown on ebay do not show the complete picture** Condition: All four pictures are in great condition considering their age. Only one is torn (in the top right corner) as shown in photo below. The two large ones are creased from being rolled and unrolled but once flattened under glass in a nice frame, they will show very well. All are from a non smoking, pet free home. Payment: Payments (unless otherwise arranged with me) are due within 7 days of auction end! If payment is not received by the end of the 7th day, item will be relisted and negative feedback will be left. I accept Paypal and money orders or cashiers checks only. Personal checks will not be accepted! Shipping and Insurance: Shipping and Handling within the US is $5.00 and items will be carefully packaged. I am not responsible for lost or damaged items due to shipping. Shipping insurance is always recomended and is an inexpensive way to make sure you are not out any money. Insurance (optional) will be calculated after auction is over. Non US bidders, Please read!: I will sell to bidders outside of the U.S.A. Shipping is $15.00 for outside the US.
