Spyderco Anniversary Delica, model # C76P. In 2004, to celebrate 25 years of knifemaking and Spyderco's inauspicious beginnings in the late 1970s, they released a limited edition version of the classic C11 Delica model. Spyderco asked their good friend and renowned mosaic Damascus steel forger, Ed Schempp of Ephrata , Washington , to design a special pattern for the bolsters. The result is a beautiful and unique bug and web pattern. The Damascus bolsters are mounted onto a Stainless steel handle, and the remaining handle area is scaled with natural honey-colored jig-boned panels. The plainedge hollow-ground blade is made of VG-10 grade stainless steel. Vibrant, opulent and warm in color, no two knives look exactly alike due to the organic nature of the jig-bone and the variance of the hand-forged bugs. This gorgeous knife is presented is its own engraved Cocobolo Rosewood case, lined in luxurious black fabric. The Anniversary Delica is without question Spyderco's most collectible knife to date. Blade length is 2 15/16", overall length is 6 13/16". This knife is brand new and comes in the original box. What m akes this knife so special is the Li mited Edition status. Only 500 of these knives were made. This particular knife is numbered 139. With its Jigged Bone and Damascus handle, combined with its super limited edition status, the Anniversary Delica is considered the "Holy Grail" by most modern Spyderco collectors.
