Experimental Calypso Jr. C52BMP Micarta Handle RARE AND DISCONTINUED New Old Stock in Original Box Up for Bid is a Rare Spyderco C52BMP Calypso Jr. plain knife. This is a rare knife that is getting harder to find. The handle is polished black linen Micarta, and the steel is flat-ground. Very smooth lockback action that cut like crazy with 2.5" sharp inches of AUS8A steel. A vintage knife that is a must have for anyone's collection. Produced in October 1997 this knife is brand new and comes in the original old style white box. From Spyderco: Made to feel like a natural extension of the hand, this highly refined design is an upgrade of an earlier CLIPIT. It is offered in lightweight black Micarta (with a flat ground blade). The finger choil provides a smooth transition between the handle and the blade. The "cusp" on the blade spine (above the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole) allows for reliable thumb placement and superior cutting control. The clothing clip is placed just above the pivot pin so that this mid sized folder sits comfortably deep in the pocket. Large enough to handle substantial chores but small enough for daily carry, the Calypso Jr. is ideal as a general utility tool.
