Hello Savvy Collectors, For sale is one gently used Spyderco Dodo C80GSBK (the normal-production knife from Spyderco's own Eric Glesser) . This is a CPM S30V steel knife . This is CPM S30V steel knife. S30V, if you don't already know, is the higher-vanadium steel made by Crucible Materials Corporation; it is a steel made expressly for knives and it has outstanding edge retention and toughness. This was a steel that people flipped out about when it first came out. Scales are nice, durable black G-10 , and the shape sits perfectly in the hand, in multiple positions . This knife is discontinued and hard to find . The ergonomics on this knife are amazing (Spyderco's "form follows function" mantra at work), and the ball bearing lock is a very easy-to-use and incredibly strong one. The Spyderco serrations are just beautiful on this knife-- just based on the functionality (not just the beauty) of the serrations, you'll want them on this knife. Note the compactness of this knife-- it is one that is perfect for everyday carrying and use. I am selling this because I haven't used it at all in the past couple of years. Notes/full disclosure on the knife: I'm going to be realistic-- while this knife is really just tremendous and very hard-to-find, I have used it. This means that t are minor rub marks on the blade itself, that the tip is very slightly bent (as I've tried to show in the pictures), and may have been sharpend at some point in its life, but it is STILL waiting to really begin its life of being used. The durability and quality of this knife is amazing. When I used it in the past, it was only to open packages and boxes (so don't worry about abuse). It you're worried about the rub marks, just bust out a Cape Cod cloth and polish it up, as I did with the swedge (again, tried to show in the pictures). Everything else in the knife (lock, scales, etc.) that I haven't described are LIKE NEW. Tight lockup, no blade wiggle, perfect condition, aside from the cosmetics. At the end of the day, what you're buying is a tool first, a source of joy in work second, and a somewhat limited work of art last.
