Spyderco DragonflyC28S Very Rare Black/Dark Gray Coated Stainless Steel Version Item up for bid is a rare Spyderco Dragonfly (C28S) knife that is Mint Condition. The knife has never been carried, used or sharpened. I'm not exactly sure of the coating used but I believe it is either the Black-Ti titanium nitride coating used in many earlier Spyderco models or a multi layered titanium aluminum nitride (TIALIN) coating over the titanium coating. The TIALIN coating has high edge retention qualities and is extremely durable. Other models that used the TIALIN coating were special editions and often produced in quantities of less than 20 pieces. This knife does not come with the original box but I will include a knife pouch that is made from a silicone treated cotton fabric which continually draws moisture away from the knife. The knife is in Mint condition however t is a small scuff mark from opening and closing of the blade. The minor scuff is opposite the clipside and is near were Spyderco and ATS-55 is stamped on the blade (see photos below). I have been collecting Spydercos for more than 5 years and I haven't come across another one of these. If anyone knows anything more about this knife, feel free to email me.
