This auction is for a rare late 18th or early 19th century Staffordshire mug that is impressed T & J Hollins (mark partially obliterated) on base. The firm worked 1790-1800. Exterior is almost a salt glaze finish - certainly a matte finish. Molded horse, fox hunters, dogs at kill scene. High glaze dark brown band at top. Large mug - height 5"; diameter of top 4 5/8". Excellent condition - no chips or flakes. One very small crows foot in base that is slightly brown. So faint I could not get a picture of it. Interior has high glaze finish. Mug has very nice ring when gently tapped with the finger. A real rarity for the horse lover. Email with any questions. Shipping and insurance $8 Good luck.
