WHOA NELLIE!!!!! is a FANTASTIC old sterling 3 piece ranger set that accommodates a 1 inch belt on a double gun rig to hold .22 caliber pistols. This set was obviously made by one of the masters and it is clear that the buckle construction and engraving style is that of the SROUR Company, who most likely did the conchos and the other sterling decorations. I estimate this set to be made sometime in the 1940s. T ARE NEARLY 100 PIECES OF STERLING SILVER ON THIS RIG!!! The buckle also features the letters "ES" engraved on the shield of the buckle.The buckle is marked "STERLING," measures about 2 1/4 inches by 2 3/8 inches. This is a typical example of SROUR workmanship.....classic!! The gun belt holds 24 cartriges and measures 33 inches from the end w the buckle attaches to the belt to the closest hole and 36 inches to the furthest hole. The holsters measure approximately 9 1/2 inches in height (top to bottom) and about 5 inches at their widest. It doesn't get better than this.
