This was the Final World Cruise made by the SS France. The SS France did the Westbound World Cruise departing Le Havre/Southhampton early January, then New York on January 10, 1974. Then the Southbound for Brazil and around South America. After calling at Callao, Peru then Westbound for Tahiti. Too many ports of call to mention. The World Cruise finally ended in New York on April 11, 1974. Total distance sailed was 46,477 miles and consumed 46,825 tons of fuel. This is a rare Glass plate only produced for this Final World Cruise of the SS France. Sadly it also turned out the be her last and final season in operation as the SS France of CGT. It is in excellent condition with no chips. It measures 6 3/4" tall and 6 3/4" wide. PLEASE SEE MY EBAY STORE FOR OTHER SS FRANCE ITEMS!
