Rare and important photo album containing approximately 45 photographs documenting the Normandie's maiden voyage from her departure from LeHavre to her arrival in New York. The album is attributed to Mme LeBrun or to her daughter, who also travelled on the maiden voyage, because many of the photos are either of Mme Lebrun in her suite or on deck receiving the famous carnation key to New York City, or are of her daughter in various locations around the ship. The balance of the photos (about 15 or so) are of New York landmarks. The photos are in excellent condition and are housed in a fabulous art deco album which is also in excellent condition.
