This is a really old dentist chair, made by s.s. white. I believe it was made in 1886, but i'm going to double check that. I'm just writing a quick description right now and I will get back to you with more information on this chair. I had to list it while it is 20 cent insertion fee day for sellers on Ebay! Nothing is broken on it, except I think it is missing an arm. It has been painted by some fool, but underneath the paint is gorgeous detailed red and gold paint on black enamel paint? T appears to be a lot of pitting in the back paint. The chair can be pumped up with a lot of effort and the pole comes out of a lions mouth. Pretty cool, you sure don't see that kind of detail on medical equipment today. The only chairs I can find that resemble this one are in museums and those have been restored. The one I have has the claw foot base, not the round base. are some pictures of the restored chairs, and I will get the source of these, but just give a few minutes.
