How do I start? I'm sad to see this go but I need to get rid of some gear and can't loose pre's. I bought this compressor from Alex Newport out in New York ( Death Cab For Cutie , The Mars Volta , Bloc Party , 65 Days Of Static , etc) He used this compressor is his final mix chain for pretty much every project he ever did until I bought it from him last year. This SSL G Buss Compressor clone unit sounds incredible and has a side chain mod he had done which is really cool. Its sounds incredible on a drum buss, overheads, acoustic guitars, mix buss etc. The sad thing is I really need the money for a few upgrades I need to do in my studio near Leeds (). Some one will be getting an amazing deal with this unit. I'm really devastated to see it go. The unit is in great shape and has a really cool home made look to it. The only issue is that the power transformer buzzes but does not affect the sound of the unit you can just hear a faint buzz if its right in front of you (not really a big deal as its really quiet but i wanted to be as descriptive as possible). Its rare you'll see one of these on ebay because people hold on to them when they've got a good one but i cant afford to hold on to this. I'm only selling this because I'm buying a Lynx Aurora 16 convertor and a new Mac Pro. I'm based in Saltaire in bradford near Leeds so if you'd like read more
