This is a very old Staffordshire Benjamin Franklin figure. He stands approx. 14" tall. He is holding his black 3 brimmed hat under his left arm and a book in his right hand. T are no chips or cracks. T are 3 tiny "glaze pops" about the size of a pencil head. Some of the gold gilt is worn. The pupil in his right eye is worn. The bottom is watermarked II or 11 in blue and a crescent moon or C in black, T is an old estate inventory label that reads "For Marge Rogers. Was her Great Grand Fathers. She and her mother know about it" This is a great old piece. The colors are very bright. Ben would be a welcome addition to your collection. No Reserve! Winning bidder pays $12.00 shipping.
