For sale is a Staffordshire Enamels SIGNED Hand Painted Tiny Mice 40" Tape Measure!! AWESOME!! This is a SOLD OUT item and is no longer being produced. Beautifully hand painted with gorgeous colors and hand signed on the bottom by the artist. This was purchased at Herrods in the United Kingdom in 1994. It measures about 7/8" at widest point (minus tape handle) and stands about 1 1/8" high (with winding handle). These are highly sought after and were priced in the hundreds, especially the hard to find ones like this! This was an 18th century craft, the craft of enameling. This is part of an estate and these were kept very carefully in a covered display and seldom touched. There is only very minor signs of wear mainly on the tape handle and at the beginning of the tape where some paint loss has occurred (see pic). Can easily be touched up. The rest shines and gleams and is just GORGEOUS!! This is from a VERY high end estate that is just FULL of high end top quality pieces including tin litho's, porcelain signs, crocks and jugs, antiques of all kinds, and even taxidermy.
