I'm listing these two beautiful Staffordshire Figurines of a boy and girl on large dogs with basket under their chins. The gold lettering on the base of each figurine is titled, Prince and Princess. These figurines are very old and in excellent condition, approximate age 1830- 1860's. The pair had been in my parents home in a glass cabinet for many years, as they were antique dealers for 25 yrs. Sadly they have passed and I will be selling, some of the things from their estate. T is natural crazing to these figurines, that comes from being over 100 yrs, But t are no cracks, no repairs, nor any other alterations to the pair, that I can see. My mother (she had price tags on everything in her home)......LOL..,had a price tag on this pr,from when she purchased them of $495.00 each. Each figurine is 7" hx 6"w x 2" deep, the backs of this pair is solid, without paint... Each figure has nice splashes of orange color to the dogs ears and tail and on the body.The base is painted green grass with dk brown flower, under the belly of dog. The Prince and Princess is perched in a side sitting position on top of the dog, with a dk blue and white ruffled dress on the girl, and dk blue waistcoat and white pants on the boy. Each having a yellow hat, laying on the dogs back, the boy has black hair and the girl has dk brown hair ithe some fading of color to each head..Most of the gold paint to the reins of dog and the basket is worn but slightly visible...I have described these to the best of my knowledge, so happy bidding, and if you have any questions please email me at I accept paypal, cashiers check or money orders, personal checks, but will not ship until check clears.
