Offered is a gorgeous Staffordshire Flow Mulberry Platter in the Vincennes pattern. This black transferware piece features a figural scene with gothic structures, a bridge and river surrounded by foliage. The outer rim of this octagon shaped platter has alternate smaller gothic structures and floral motifs. It was produced by John Alcock in Cobridge, England circa 1853 - 1861, and retains his printed mark with the pattern name. This platter is in excellent overall condition with no chips or cracks. T is minimal wear & age coloring, some crazing and light utensil marks from use.
