You are bidding on an antique Staffordshire Historical dark blue sugar bowl with lid. This piece is marked on the base with the oval trademark that reads Staffordshire... T. Mayer Stoke.....Warranted with the eagle in the center. Guaranteed original or your money back. I am not sure what scene is shown but I can tell you that t appears to be a few oriental type buildings on the banks of a river .( If anyone knows the actual name of this pattern it would be appreciated if you shared with me!!). This piece is very sharp with a few minor condition issues. T is a chip to the finial on the lid that measures slightly less than 1/2" by 1/2". T appears to be a touch up to a line on one of the handlesIt is obscure and I cannot tell if the line went through to the back side or not. I have included a photo to show this. The other handle appears to be perfect. I do not see any nicks or even flea bites to the inner rim of the base w the lid rests which is unusual for these pieces. T is one pin head size flea bite to the outside edge of the lid and a small sliver/flake to one corner of the lid. I do not detect a repair so this could have been from production. Both of these are obscure enough that they would not show in a photo. The bowl has no nicks or chips to the bottom. I cannot see any other touch ups aside from the one noted to one handle. I do not see or feel any nicks to the bowl and do not see any damage/scratches to the decoration. I do not see any cracks to this piece. T is a spider line to the inside which I believe was from firing. It does not go through. This bowl stands 7 inches tall with the lid on. It is roughly 7 inches wide from handle to handle. If you have any questions about this piece, please ask before you bid. I do not know a whole lot about these but I have described it to the best of my ability and included plenty of photos for your viewing. If you have any concerns based on what you have read and seen in the photos, please do not bid. Item will be shipped double boxed. Insurance is included in shipping cost
