Antique, mid 19th century sugar bowl in transferware with the matching lid. Sugar measures app. 6 1/2" tall to finial top, 6 1/2" across and 5 1/2" wide. It has the same scene depicted on both sides. Bowl portion on the set has a small 1/2" hairline extending from the side over the lip and a few very small nibbles on the inside lip .The bottom has discoloring inside and around the foot and some light discolor scattered and t The top has some peeling around the finial . When I bought this, app. 15 years ago, this was not t When I first noticed this, I thought I had been sold a repaired piece but upon further inspection, I cannot find any repairs or lines. ??? Both pieces have light crazing. Nice piece for display in any collection !
