STAFFORDSHIRE WELL AND TREE PLATTER

English, ca 1810-30, maker unknown. A medium blue Staffordshire well and tree platter from the Ottoman Empire Series depicting the Blue Mosque in Istanbul (then Constantinople). Titled to base Mosque of Sultan Achmet. The mosque was built between 1609 and 1617 by Sedefkar Mehmet Aga. Ht. 2.5, lg. 19, wd. 14.5 in.
Condition: Wear to glaze. Large chip to one foot. Some discoloration.
