Ambitious 3 stage open core swirl with three wide ribbons at the core each consisting of five alternating bands of red and blue three fifths of which are underlaid in white separated by strands of white, the outermost bands of red are transparent and appear pink without the white underlay. The intermediate decorations are three narrow ribbons consisting of five alternating bands of red and yellow underlaid in white. Three wide ribbons each consisting of five yellow latticino provide the outermost decoration. Nearly perfect execution with precision centering and spacing, one faceted pontil, the other pontil is melted or marvered. 1 29/32" at the poles, 1 59/64" at the equator. Mint 9.4 for an apparent as-made touch spot (pic 6) and very light pocket wear. The stupid-seller-holding-the-marble-so-you-can-see-how-it-looks-in-his-big-dumb-hand shots (pics 2 & 8) were shot using a regular Sony point and shoot camera outdoors and in natural sunlight in the So Cal desert and may not depict how the marble might look in a different big dumb hand under similar conditions in Cleveland or Poughkeepsie.
