This set of four Japanese metalwork stamping dies is perhaps 30-50 years old. In the order of how they appear in the last sample pic, their stamping faces impress 1) the katakana character, "I", 2) unknown, 3) the kanji, "Tosa", and 4) the kanji, "Masahide".T is no partcular damage, but t is an overall sheen of oxidation on all of them. The faces appear to be sharp and clear, although we have not tested them in any way. Overall, they appear to have seen some use, but t is little compression or peeling at the ends on which they would be struck. The dies with the round faces measure about W1/2" (12mm) at the stamping ends X L3 1/4" (83mm). The one with the rectangular face ("Masahide") measures about W1/2" (12mm) X H13/16" (20mm) at the stamping end X L3 3/8" (86mm).
