History: The engine and four cars are faithful reproductions of the 381E, 412, 413, 414, and 416 Standard Gauge Cars built by Lionel between 1929 and 1935. These were the largest pre-war cars Lionel ever built. The passenger cars measures 21 inches long, not counting the couplings. This set has been in storage since purchased in 1999 and displayed from 1991 to 1991. It was run very little during 1990. The boxes have their original styrofoam, cellophane, ribbons, silica gel, and directions. The engine and passenger cars are of all steel construction, durable enamel 2 tone green finish, brass and nickel plated accents, illuminated interior, nickel plated wheels, opening doors, detailed interior, metal passenger seats that swivel, washroom and restroom with opening doors, and hinged roof for interior access.
