is a super cool, vintage set of RARE "Standard Oil Checkers" compliments of your Standard Oil Dealer - K.W. Groeper Wright City, Missouri Telephone 131 dated 1938 . This is not your normal set of Checkers and Checker Board, but The Standard Oil Checkers. Both the King Row of the Board and the Checkers are marked Various Standard Oil Products. The instructions on the board are the Following: Rules for Playing Standard Oil Checkers. Proceed as in the ordinary game, but attempt to move your checkers which bear the names of various Standard Oil Products into squares in the king row with corresponding names. If you succeed you get an extra King. For example, if a checker which reads "Iso-Vis Motor Oil" is moved into a space in the king row which also reads "Iso-Vis Motor Oil" the person moving receives two kings instead of one. This extra king may be placed in any vacant space in king row, or, if the king row is filled, in any available space in the net row. The set looks like it was never used, is complete with all Standard Oil Checkers, Checkers storage box with cover, and dated 1938 Checker Board. The set is in excellent condition with super color and shine, and would be a super addition to your collection!
