Beautiful example of the Stanley 10 1/2 Carriage-makers Rabbet Plane. When I bought this plane the iron had never been properly sharpened. The sole had never been lapped flat either. It was in almost-new condition except it had been kicking around ingarages for about 90 years. It's patent-dated 1910 and it carriesthe SW emblem on the iron. The Japanning along the edges is chipped, but inside the plane bodyit appears to be perfect. I'd say that makes it about a 97%.T is oxidation and discoloration of the iron and steel parts. I neverused this plane much - but I would reach for it from time to time when I was building furniture.Excellent plane. You could polish it up or just use it as is. The knoband tote are in near-perfect condition with no obvious chips or cracks.Just delightful. It was a pleasure to own this tool for me but I am moving across the countryand thinning out my woodworking tools considerably and selling off most ofmy machinery - mostly glorious machinery from Europe.Keep an eye on my auctions for a Stanley #46 with cutters, and Stanley289, a 608c Bedrock jointer and lots of other goodies including some INCAmachinery and parts.I've mostly bought planes, not sold them, so help me out by asking pertinentquestions and I'll answer them so these planes are portrayed as accurately aspossible.Phone is .
