STANLEY No 143 BULL NOSE PLOW PLANE SCARCE LAST TYPE Offered here is a Stanley No. 143 Bull Nose Plow Plane in the scarce last type, manufactured from 1935-1943. The plane is complete with all parts and 9 cutters as supplied. Everything is in very good condition. As noted by John Walter in his guide to Stanley tools, the last type of this plane had the “No 143” cast into the plane body, and the fence has the “Made in USA” instead of the filigree design found on the plane body. The fence has the rosewood wear strip, introduced in 1929. The plane body has the shallow filigree design common to all 143 planes. The nickel plating is worn in a few places, but the wood parts are in good shape and there is no rust or pitting on the metal. The skate has the Stanley Sweetheart logo stamped on it. The photographs should show the details. Email me with any questions. Thanks for looking! AN EXTRA! I just found the original instructions for the plane that originally was included in the box. I have the sheet protected by a mylar sleeve (it's whole and in good condition), and I'll send it along with the plane.
