is a Rare Antique Stanley No. 150 Miter Tool to be used for sawing very accurate angles in your woodworking projects. This tool appears to be quite old (we think it was probably made by the Stanley company between the early 1930's to the late 1940's ). It is a very sturdy and well-made cast-iron tool , with a wooden surface to support your project while sawing. The wood surface is grooved at the 45-degree angles on both sides, and has a master-groove for the 0-degree line . The cast-iron base is marked 45-degrees, 22-1/2 degrees, and 0-degrees , and is selected by moving the castiron knob to the appropriate angle. The adjustment knob works properly. This tool is equipped with a saw vise to aim it at the appropriate angle to be cut. The Saw Vise is marked " STANLEY NO. 150 " on the front, and " MADE IN U.S.A ." on the reverse. The body is not marked on the front, but is clearly marked " 45 30 22-/12 0 " on the bottom and top of the cast-iron selection gauge, corresponding to the cutting angles. As you can see by the photos, this tool was gently used for many ye ars, and was very well maintained . The wood has some saw marks, and is a little bit worn, as one would expect from a tool this old. The cast-iron has a very pleasing age-patina, and the black color of the metal is mostly still t One of the adjustment screws has some surface read more
