This rule is a Stanley # 72 1/2 Square Joint, Full Bound, Broad, 24 inch 4 Fold rule. The knuckle joint is of the Edge Plate variety. My estimate as to when it was manufactured is 1866 to 1892 because it has no exterior Stanley logo, and because U. S. A. follows New Britain, Conn. on the inside markings. One pin is present, however, bent flat. This is a relatively common rule that books for $ 50 (J. Walter) and up. Overall, it is very sound, and has an attractive medium-dark tobacco patina outside, and a medium tobacco patina inside. It would be an excellent specimen until upgrading becomes an option. Combined shipping is available; additional rules are $1.50 each except Double Arches, which are $ 2.00. Folks who select Priority Mail can ship up to 4 rules at no additional cost. My refund policy is pretty uncomplicated. Send it back within 14 days and I will issue a refund of the purchase price. If I have misrepresented something, say so and I will include double the outbound shipping. Personal checks are held 5 business days after deposit for clearance. International shipments are available. Some are listed; otherwise write for quote. PayPal must be used. (US cash is OK too, but the mailing risk is yours.)
