This Plane has been in my family for over 75 years. It is missing a few parts, mainly the rods, depth gage and a couple of screws. These old gunmetal planes are very hard to find. The plane doesn't have a model number, but it is either a Stanley Miller's Patent Number 42 or 44. I'm not sure which. The plane and fence are beautifully ornate, with a rosewood handle. Gunmetal is an alloy of 88% copper, 10% tin, and 2% nickel. The shape of the handle looks like a #44, but the design of the fence looks like a #42. Probably one of you experts out there set me straight. The condition is very good. It comes with one blade.
