For auction: Stanley #51/52 Chute Board & Plane in FINE condition. This early and complete type-1 chute board and plane are each cast with the patent date 1-21-1896. They have nearly all of their original japanning which is at least 99% intact. The full length cutting iron is clearly marked with the "V" trademark. The rosewood tote is damage-free with almost all of it's original finish. The castings are damage-free as well. The plane's base has some insignificant shallow etching(see photo 6). That aside, it's in flawless condition.The board is complete including the often missing "T" pin and hold down clamp. You don't often find a #51/52 chute board set original and 100% intact.
