Stanley #71 Router Plane Presented for your woodworking pleasure is a nice vintage Stanley #71 Router plane that is an early model with patent dates. The knobs are in great shape with no visible cracks or repairs. Most of the japan finish is gone but the plane is clean with no rust. The sole is in great shape. It has some pinhole pits, but is flat and shiny. Blade holder and adjuster wheel work perfectly and the plane has an early vintage 1/4" blade that looks unused. This plane includes a depth gauge and adjustable foot for mouth. In all, this is a really nice plane. This plane is for collectors and users alike. If you are a collector, you know that these vintage planes are getting harder to find . If you are a user, you know the frustration of having to hunt down all of the blades and extra pieces to get a complete plane. You would spend alot more money buying these pieces separately and you would also have a long and frustrating search. Buy this one and save yourself time and trouble. By the way, if you really need additional blades, they are available from Lee Valley Tools and are priced modestly. These planes are really handy for letting in hinges and other similar tasks.
