This is a Stanley No. 750 style 1/4 Inch Bevel Edge Wood Chisel Stanley No. 750 Wood Chisels were made from 1930 to 1969, in sizes from 1/4 inch to 2 inch widths. Many in the late 1950s/1960s were cast by a second foundry without the "No. 750" logo but the same steel blades. They are still highly sought after by serious woodworkers because of their Rockwell Hardness "Excellent Temper'" rating for great use on hardwoods and softwoods, yet light to handle. This Chisel is in excellent condition. It is 9 inches long overall with a 1/4-inch-wide bevel edge blade. The hardwood handle is in excellent condition. The metal blade is clean steel with a lapped back and a great sharp edge ready to put to work. It has the "Stanley Made In U.S.A." logo stamped on the socket.
