STANLEY 92 ½ IVORY RULE, MARKED WITH STANLEY LOGO
This is a Stanley 92 ½ 1 foot, 4 fold ivory rule. You see many of these not marked with a brand name and almost always the owner calls them Stanley even though Stanley, Standard and Upson all made these rules (in this case). Every now and then I used to e-mail the owner of one of these for sale and ask him how he knew it was a Stanley. Either he replied that he once saw an ivory rule that was a Stanley so obviously this one must be or he will fire me back a nasty note and tell me to mind my own business (which is what I do now). Anyway, back to this rule. I can definitely say that this rule is a Stanley product because it is so labeled. This is one of a handful of Stanley #92 ½ that I have seen that has been labeled. Most of these narrow rules are not. Engraved on the outside of this example is "No 92 ½ STANLEY". Rule is complete and unbroken. It's only problem is that the ivory is not nice and white. Actually the ivory is nice , it is just not white. On the front outside it is yellowish (tobacco color), on the back outside it is whitish and on the inside it is yellowish to orangish. Rare to find a marked example of this rule and in nice shape. My E-Bay philosophy is simple, you are the customer and you decide how you want to handle the deal. I will go along with most anything as long as it is not too outrageous and you keep me informed. If it will be a few days before you get payment to me, no problem, just let me know so I will not worry about it being lost. I do not have any hard and fast time lines on what happens when. Normally I will get the package to the PO the day after I receive payment. If for some reason that will be delayed, I will let you know. As usual, you pay the shipping, insurance extra if desired. I personally recommend insurance if the item cost more than around $50, but you decide. On most items I sell, I try to estimate the postage cost by USPS Priority Mail (preferred shipping method) and include that up front so you know exactly what the cost of the item will be. I'm usually within a couple of dollars of the correct cost depending on your zip code. Never any crazy handling fees or ridiculous reserves. PayPal, money orders or checks accepted. Please allow a few days for checks if it is an expensive item. On some items I ship right away. So far all (well, most) of my dealings have been with nice, honest people. (As I would expect) . My satisfaction policy is also very simple, you are the customer and you decide if you want the item. Satisfaction guaranteed, no exception. Purchase may be returned for any reason or no reason within a week in original condition for a full refund. If it is something I did or failed to do I will also refund the postage. If you just changed your mind or found another one down the street, cheaper or better. I still accept returns except you should pay the postage.
