You are bidding a nice old Stanley Model No.4 Adjustable Iron Plane.No.4 appears in raised letters just ahead of the front knob.The name BAILEY appears just behind the front knob.This plane is in good used as found condition for its age.This plane is black in color with most of Japanning left.The metal sole of this plane is 9 3/8 inches long x 2 3/8 inch wide.The sole has a few nicks and scratches and scuffs probably from being moved around alot over the years.The varnish on the handle and knob has some scuffs and scratches.The handle and the knob don't have any cracks.MADE IN CAN. appears just ahead of the rear handle.All metal and painted parts are fairly clean with very little rust.All parts are perfectly free and in good working order.This plane would be nice to add to anyone's collection.The name Stanley and MADE IN CAN.also appears near the top of the blade.The name Stanley doesn't appear anyw on the base.The blade has some minor rust.This plane must be quite old.Please ask questions early in this auction as last minute questions may not get answered.
