This auction is for a Stanley Bedrock 604 flat-sided plane. This is the premium Stanley line. It will make a good looking plane for use. This model Bedrock has the ability to have the throat size changed without removing the lever cap and blade. It has the frog adjust screw also. I have cleaned it up (though it's not over-cleaned or buffed), removed the minor rust, and sharpened the blade frighteningly sharp. It has about an inch of use left. I redid the japanning with a proprietary formula. It has good looks and durability but you don't have to bake it like the old asphalt kind. I refinished the knob and tote. The plain lever cap may be a replacement. I tested the plane and it can take very thin shavings. I think you would be happy with it for both looks and function. It's ready to go right out of the box.
